Alpha/transparency value for specific pixels of image

Hi,

I'd like to add transparency/specify alpha value for specific pixels that I am reading into my ImageGraphic adapter. I would like to present an image ("mask") on top of a background image with a specific pixels of this mask image more opaque than others.

I've made this mask image and have saved it with the desired alpha values, but it appears that you must extract the alpha values and indicate it every time when presenting the image in matlab. If I would like to do this in Monkeylogic while presenting a stimuli how do I go about it?
