Problem with reading .bhv files
September 10, 2019 10:52PM
Hello,

When I'm trying to read some of my .bhv files I get this error:

Warning: 'ÁeŒÁŒÁå ŒÁÀò‹Á®-ŒÁA$ŒÁŠþ‹ÁAEŒÁø(ŒÁ.ü‹Á/>ŒÁe2ŒÁ® ŒÁe2ŒÁŠ@ŒÁ® Œ' exceeds MATLAB's maximum name
length of 63 characters and has been truncated to 'ÁeŒÁŒÁå ŒÁÀò‹Á®-ŒÁA$ŒÁŠþ‹ÁAEŒÁø(Œ'.
> In bhv_read (line 563)
Invalid field name: 'ÁeŒÁŒÁå ŒÁÀò‹Á®-ŒÁA$ŒÁŠþ‹ÁAEŒÁø(ŒÁ.ü‹Á/>ŒÁe2ŒÁ® ŒÁe2ŒÁŠ@ŒÁ® Œ'.

Error in bhv_read (line 563)
VarChanges.(fn).Trial = fread(fidbhv, n, 'uint16');

Please advice!

Thanks

It seems that you saved characters not supported in your current encoding. You may try hex-editing the file, but it is difficult to find the boundaries of variables in BHV, so there is no guarantee that it is fixable.

By the way, BHV and bhv_read are not used in NIMH ML and therefore not supported.
