can I discard data unless fixation is attempted?

Hi Jaewon,
There are many trials where the subject doesnt even attempt fixation (e.g., distracted). But those data are still collected, and that can make the file size quite large. Apart from post-hoc cleaning of the file (which is very doable), is there a way just to have a fixation spot on the screen, without saving data unless fixation is attempted?

I don't know how much disk space you can save by doing so, but I don't think it is a good idea, so the answer is no.
