I plan to record vocalizations from two animals. A single microphone cannot distinguish the source of each vocalization. To address this, we plan to place two microphones directly in front of the animals and use the volume differences between the recordings to identify the source of each call.

I saw that the webcam supports multiple devices, but only one option for voice recording.

I would appreciate it if you could give me any suggestions/solutions to help me reach the goal.

A sound card can process multiple channels, so it is unusual to install more than one card. I think the best option for you now is to use two mono microphones and record them as stereo. You may need a stereo-to-dual-mono jack or splitter.
